Wanping
Zheng
Dr. Wanping Zheng
received his B. ENG and M.S degrees in mechanical engineering in China
in 1982 and 1984, and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Technical
University of Nova Scotia in 1992. Since he joined the Canadian Space
Agency in 1993, he has involved in several major Canadian space programs,
including the International Space Station Program, MIM, SciSat, and
RADARSAT2 program. He is leading a micro satellite program as the project
manager. He has also been active in research and development of structural
dynamics, modal analysis and testing, and advanced space structures.
Currently, he is taking the lead at the Canadian Space Agency to initiate
an in-house R&D program in MEMS technology.
