PRESENTATION:
An
overview of progress in respect to optical MEMS/NEMS for Aerospace applications
The use of pure
optical MEMS methods for transducer and communications has a potential
huge impact on Aerospace with respect to weight savings and increased
sensor and control intelligence. MEMS/NEMS(Nano) and all optical methods
are being used to unleash the true potential in internet backbone and
in advanced physics experiments, undersea networks etc. In aerospace
these technologies have the potential to increase the sensing and bandwidth
capability while reducing latency, heat and failure mechanisms.
Biography:
Brian is the co-founder
of BigBangwidth and acts as the leading corporate technology specialist.
Prior to founding BigBangwidth, Brian was an optical technology advisor
to Micralyne Corp., hardware manager of Myrias Research Corp (parallel
supercomputers) and founder and chief engineer for Tsiger Systems Ltd
(broadband communications). Mr. Moore is named inventor or co-inventor
on four patents and has a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, has recently
been a doctoral candidate in EE&CE at the University of Alberta.
