Muthukumaran Packirisamy

Muthukumaran Packirisamy has over 14 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and MEMS. He completed his Bachelor and Master degrees in the areas of Mechanical Engineering and Turbomachines. He worked for 4 years on the Research and Development of Hydroturbomachines at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. He also worked for 6 years as Scientist on the development of gas turbine engines for aircrafts.

He completed his Ph.D. from Concordia University, Montreal on Synthesis of Microsystems. He presented a unification approach using boundary conditioning method for the synthesis of Microsystems. He proposed a fabrication synthesis using Mitel15 standard CMOS process. He worked as a MEMS specialist with Mitel Semiconductor for a year. He is presently working as a Senior Member of Scientific Staff at Optenia and involved with development of OMEMS.
