The areas of specialization include amongst others: devices and systems for NDI/E, structural (strain/temperature) monitoring, WIM and smart structures and materials using fiber optics, non-conventional ultrasonic and MEMS technology approaches. CLS3's collaborators and partners in number of these past and current projects include organizations representing universities, research laboratories and government agencies from Canada, Europe, the US and elsewhere. CLS3 has necessary in-house R&D and product development capability, expertise and essential scientific laboratory equipment's for undertaking related projects. Research and experimental development support is also obtained from affiliated staff at the universities and the National Research Council laboratories. CLS3's key strength lies in its world-class recognized technical expertise.
