In the past, the
CLS3 has undertaken research, development and experimentation of advanced
structural (strain/temperature) monitoring / evaluation, fatigue crack
warning, and WIM systems using fiber optic sensors, metal coated fiber
optic / acoustic sensors, non-conventional ultrasonic and Lamb wave
technologies using dry / air coupled approaches applicable to a variety
of aerospace / transport structures.
CLS3 has necessary
in-house R&D and product development capability, expertise and essential
scientific laboratory equipment's for undertaking related projects.
Research and experimental development support is also obtained from
affiliated staff at the universities and the National Research Council
laboratories. CLS3's key strength lies in its world-class recognized
technical expertise.
